Planning to travel for business or pleasure in the near future?
You probably have a favorite hotel or motel chain you look to first for your lodging or accommodation. Maybe you earn frequent flyer miles when you stay there. Perhaps you just like their restaurant, their mattresses, or their showerheads. Or possibly you choose your hotel rooms solely based on which chains offer you hotel discounts.
We are all creatures of habit. If you typically make hotel reservations at the Marriott each time you visit Orlando, then your are not likely to suddenly start seeking out a quaint inn or a bed and breakfast in nearby Winter Park. And if, on your last business trip to Denver, you stayed at a motel near the airport and your accommodation was pleasant, you probably will be a repeat customer of this same motel on your next visit to the Mile High City.
When it comes to picking a hotel, motel, or other type of travel lodging, there is something to be said for staying with the familiar. But if you don't break out of your routine and try an interesting inn, charming bed and breakfast, privately owned hotel or motel, or luxurious timeshare, you may be missing many of the best accommodations out there.
Let's face it. Travel lodging rarely offers all the comforts of home. But timeshares for example, are much more spacious than hotel rooms and help alleviate that unpleasant feeling of being restricted within a hotel rooms' four walls. An added bonus of timeshares is that they usually offer full kitchens, a feature afforded by some motels and inns, but rarely found in hotel room lodging. Anyone who frequently travels knows that restaurant dining can have its shortfalls. No matter how skillful the chef or how diverse the menu, restaurant fare, too many days in a row, quickly becomes both costly and monotonous.
If you really crave that sense of home, you might wish to try a bed and breakfast inn. The concept of bed and breakfast lodging has many charms however it may not appeal to every traveler. For example, your room will be pleasant, but it may not have a television, telephone, or private bath. Sometimes bathrooms are centrally located and shared by several guests on the same floor.
On the other hand, a bed and breakfast typically affords the pleasures of family-style dining with other guests at the inn. The tasty home cooking spares you the repetitiveness of restaurant food while providing you the opportunity to meet and socialize with other travelers.
Because the number of guest rooms in a bed and breakfast is highly limited, (typically between four and ten) you don't have the same last-minute flexibility most of us have come to expect when booking hotel reservations. If you really want that charming room in the inn overlooking the harbor, be sure you make your plans well in advance.
Many travelers look for hotel discounts and then make their hotel reservations, but never consider how much more comfortable they might be, or how much they could be saving if only they looked into timeshare rentals and timeshare resales as part of their travel planning. Numerous timeshare companies, and especially those affiliated with the larger exchange companies like Interval International timeshares and Resort Condominiums International timeshares, make it very easy for timeshare owners to use their days in any increment, including one night at a time. Timeshare ownership is no longer about vacationing in one-week or two-week intervals.
Surprised?
Lots of people who have never enjoyed the travel opportunities afforded by timeshares are amazed to learn that to buy a timeshare or timeshare resales would offer them such flexibility. And even people who have owned time shares for many years, don't always know about the concept of urban time shares.
Time shares are not limited to resort destinations. Instead, you can rent or buy a timeshare in the heart of many major metropolitan areas. Business travelers have found this type of timeshare rentals and timeshare resales to be highly desirable, providing pleasanter and more spacious lodging than comparable hotels, with more competitive pricing.
Remember, we are creatures of habit. Just because you've never really considered timeshare rentals and timeshare resales as a better option for travel accommodation, doesn't mean you shouldn't. After all, with more and more traditional hoteliers including Marriott, Hyatt, and Ritz Carlton to name a few, moving into the business of timeshare sales and timeshare rentals, this very well may prove to be the dominate travel trend of the future.
