Remember how good it felt when you were nine or ten years old and the school year drew to an end? For weeks or months to follow, you had freedom. You were free from math teachers, homework, and that creepy kid who tried to swipe your lunch money and copy your tests. You were the king or queen of summer vacations and life felt really good.

Why not recreate that feeling of freedom all over again?

Okay, maybe you can't take a three-month holiday, but consider a week or two in Florida vacation rentals or condos. Think about Hawaii vacation rentals and timeshares. Or perhaps coastal Maine timeshare resorts. Wouldn't that go a long way toward making you feel like a kid again?

When it comes to vacations and travel, most of us are guilty of seriously shortchanging ourselves of those treasured days of freedom, relaxation, and repose. We look at enticing photos of Kauai vacation rentals and resorts and Maui vacation rentals and timeshares, but we assume we don't have the time or money to enjoy such luxurious accommodations.

We hear friends talk about their condos, timeshares, or Bar Harbor, Maine rentals. They say they climbed to the top of Cadillac Mountain at dawn, the first place the rays of the morning sun touch North America. We envy them these adventures, but incorrectly assume they must have more expendable income than we do. Sadly, when we make assumptions without learning the real story about travel accommodations and lodging, we wind up missing out on some great (and much needed) vacations.

If you have never considered vacation rentals, maybe you've simply been staying in the wrong types of holiday accommodations. Sure plenty of hotels and motels that will happily let you help them pay for their expensive real estate and their inflated costs of advertising, personnel, and taxes. But why should you?

Consider going on holiday in vacation rentals owned by individuals who don't face the big-ticket overhead that burdens large corporations and hotel chains. Many people have wisely invested in vacation real estate, condos, and timeshares. They either own their vacation real estate outright, or at least have already recouped their initial investment over the years by saving what they might have spent to vacation in hotels and other more expensive types of lodging.

Owners of timeshares and other vacation rentals can afford to rent their vacation property to you without making you feel as if you are dealing with the playground bully. They can and (generally will) offer their vacation rentals and time share rentals at highly competitive, discount prices. And timeshare accommodations are typically located at luxurious resorts, with amenities that meet or exceed those found in comparable hotels and other types of high-dollar resort lodging. Moreover, timeshare rentals and timeshare resales offered for rent by private owner are much more spacious than hotel rooms (usually sleeping 6 to 8 people comfortably) which lets you travel with your family or friends easily and cost-effectively.

Why not vacation in privately owned condos, vacation rentals, timeshare rentals and resales for rent by a private owner? Instead of daydreaming about Aruba, Mexico, Key West, Florida, or Old Orchard Beach, Maine vacation rentals, you can be on holiday, stretched out on a blanket, soaking up sun, and serenity.

School kids aren't the only ones entitled to the delicious pleasures of holidays and vacations. You've earned your time away from your boss, your alarm clock, the traffic jams, and the weekly car pool. Book a Florida, Mexico, Caribbean, Europe, or Hawaii vacation rental or privately owned timeshare and start feeling like the king or queen of fabulous vacation time all over again.
